Neighbourhood Watch Australasia is pleased to announce the inaugural Neighbourhood Watch International Conference, to be held at Sea World Resort, Gold Coast, Queensland 21 – 22 May 2021.

Conference topics

The exciting two-day program will include topics such as:

  • Does NHW Work?
  • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
  • Strategies to prevent crime and victimisation
  • Policing with influence
  • Human exploitation
  • ThinkUKnow online child safety program
  • Safety programs for seniors

Speakers will be drawn from technical experts, police and other law enforcement agencies, government bodies and other specialist organisations. Academic experts will provide latest research and development information.

The conference will equip individuals, communities and businesses with knowledge and best-practice strategies from global and local perspectives, enhancing community safety and building community and individual resilience.

Building a knowledge base that includes lessons learnt from around the world will help to deliver more effective crime prevention and community safety programs.

Venue

The Conference will be held at Sea World Resort Conference Centre, nestled between the beach and the Broadwater at the Gold Coast.

Only a 15 minute walk from the popular Gold Coast beaches and Marina Mirage Shopping area, this unique venue will provide the perfect environment for the conference. Attractive accommodation rates have been negotiated for delegates wishing to stay at Sea World Resort.
